In refinery and large-scale oil terminal diesel loading operations, the piping network must handle substantial flow rates while maintaining fuel cleanliness. Conventional filtration approaches often rely on oversized filter area to manage flow and contaminant load. In practice, this can lead to rapid differential pressure buildup and frequent element replacement.
One practical configuration is to connect the JY-DL60 high-flow purification system directly in series with the loading rack piping. The system uses an “outside-to-inside” flow path, operating as a dead-end filtration mechanism. Diesel enters from the outer side of the element, contaminants are retained on or within the media, and cleaned fuel exits from the inner side.
Under pump-driven flow of 40-60 t/h, the system maintains a differential pressure around 0.2 MPa. The element structure remains stable under high flow impact, with minimal deformation. Fluid primarily overcomes permeation resistance, keeping overall energy consumption within typical operational limits.
Cleaning is performed via nitrogen pulse backflush. Gas pressure is set between 0.5 and 0.7 MPa, with each cycle lasting approximately 30 seconds. The reverse flow dislodges accumulated gums and particulates toward the drain port. The operation does not interrupt loading activities and has negligible impact on truck filling efficiency.
From a cost perspective, this setup contributes to extended element service life, reduced downtime for maintenance, and better control of total cost of ownership (TCO). It suits continuous high-volume diesel loading in refineries, bulk terminals, and similar industrial applications.
